SIPFA newsletter

Dear all,

We just want to say a HUGE thank you to you all for your help and support with our fundraising events this school year. Whether you baked cakes, donated books, helped at or attended an event or were able to offer a little more time as part of our committee team, THANK YOU SO MUCH.

We hope you and your family enjoyed the events organised by SIPFA which are an important part of our school community spirit.

This academic year we have organised, Party in the Playground, May Fair, Easter Egg Decorating, Year Group Discos x3, Book sale for World Book Day, Christmas Fair and Raffle, Bona’ween Cake Sale (phew…) and to top it all off many events have been match funded care of Peter Mitchell, Barclays Bank as he scaled the summit of Kilimanjaro to raise funds for SIPFA. A total raised of over £9745.00

This school year SIPFA have funded: Christmas reindeer experience for all children, subsidised the year 2 swimming lessons, bought trip presents for every child after each educational visit including sponsoring animals for Year 1 children after their trip to Chester Zoo, bought a Christmas present for every class and bought a leavers book gift for each year 2 pupil. SIPFA funds will also be invested in the new Reading Shed, a cool, calm and creative space that we plan to design and develop in partnership with Ms Thomas and her team.

In 2019.20 we would like to continue organising fun, school events across all year groups but we cannot do this without your help. The team at SIPFA work incredibly hard but we are a small team. (less than 5% of the school). We need more committee members from September as 5 of our core committee team will move on to the juniors. We also have a vacancy for secretary, this is a vital role and must be filled. Please consider giving some time to help your children’s school.

We are holding our annual AGM on the evening of September 24th 2019 and would love to see as many of you there as possible as we are always looking for new fundraising ideas and support at events. All we ask is a little of your time, to give back to the school.

Enjoy your summer holiday and thank you once again for your support.

Louise Bridge and Jo Riley, co-chairs SIPFA.

**Secretary Position** If you are interested please attend the AGM, let the school office know or drop us an email. We would love to welcome you to the team!
